What Is Negligence?

Back to Videos

Video Transcript

Negligence is defined in the state of Florida as failure to use reasonable care. When we try a case on behalf of a victim of a motor vehicle crash or any other type of event, jury instructions are read to a jury at the conclusion of the case. And in those Florida standard civil jury instructions, negligence is defined as the failure to use reasonable care. All of us owe a duty to each other person operating a motor vehicle to use reasonable care in the operation of our motor vehicle.
