What Is Distracted Driving?

Back to Videos

Video Transcript

Someone who is not paying attention to the roadway in front of them when driving a motor vehicle. We have duties and responsibilities when driving a car. Number one, a duty to keep those in the car with us safe, to keep ourselves safe while driving the vehicle.

Obviously, we have to pay attention, use reasonable care when we’re driving a motor vehicle out on the roadways, when we’re sharing it with other people and motorists. Distracted driving, using your cell phone while driving, eating food while driving, putting your makeup on while driving, all of these things can be considered distracted driving.
