How Quickly Should I Contact an Attorney in a Florida Auto Accident Case?

Back to Videos

Video Transcript

As soon as you can. Obviously, the first thing you should do after being involved in a motor vehicle crash is contact law enforcement and seek medical treatment. Without question, those are the two things you should immediately do after a motor vehicle crash. Once law enforcement has responded to the scene of the crash, once you’ve been taken care of appropriately, and as needed, from a medical perspective, you should seek legal counsel. You should talk to a lawyer to learn the rights that you have as the victim of a motor vehicle crash. The sooner you contact a lawyer, the sooner the lawyer can get involved in investigating the accident, getting out to the scene and collecting evidence, speaking with witnesses, taking statements. The sooner all of this is done, the better for your case moving forward.
