Longtime colleagues and experienced personal injury attorneys Scott B. Smith and Marci Ball Elordi are proud to announce the formation of their new personal injury law firm, Smith, Ball, Báez & Prather Injury Lawyers. The two first met as high schoolers 32 years ago when they worked at Eastpointe Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens – Smith as a busboy and Ball Elordi as a server. Years later, Smith earned his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law (1998) and Ball Elordi earned her Juris Doctorate, with Honors, from the University of Florida (1996). Afterward, they worked as attorneys at the same firm, where they represented clients seeking justice in the personal injury area of law. Together, they have given countless clients a voice during the most difficult and painful times in their lives.
Among countless other cases, in 2010, they helped a loving and devoted father following a preventable and tragic loss no parent should ever have to endure. The following year, Smith and Ball Elordi obtained a $2.2. Million verdict in Palm Beach County for another deserving client, and in 2015, they secured a $1.6 Million verdict in Volusia County for yet another worthy client.
After a few years spent working apart at other law firms, Smith and Ball Elordi decided to join forces again. They became partners and founded Smith, Ball, Báez & Prather Injury Lawyers in 2020.
